National Day of KINdness 2022

Posted By on April 2, 2022

The Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi were once again proud to participate in the National Day of KINdness. Our own Anthony Gray, who is also an educational assistant and chair of the project, worked along side Mrs. Nancy Stewart, a teacher at Dr. Losier Middle School, and Mr. Rick Hayward, District experiential learning coordinator. The Miramichi Kinsmen gave the students $2000 to do as many acts of KINdness in our community. They chose to give gifts to local businesses and not-for-profits. They brought a little ray of sunshine to places like Shannex Bridgview, Miramichi Youth House Inc., Miramichi Womens Emergency Shelter, City of Miramichi – City Hall, Shannex Losier Hall, Miramichi Fire Department, Pizza Delight Chatham, Miramichi Multicultural Association, Gabi’s Pie Shoppe, Miramichi SPCA, Miramichi City Police, with more to come. Special thanks to Kin Canada National President Jennifer Lynn Burry and Kin Canada National Projects Coordinator Lindsay Irvine for speaking to the class on the KINdness Day Initiative and the importance of volunteering.
