Kin Kindness Day 2023

Posted By on April 13, 2023

The Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi were once again proud to participate in the National Day of KINdness. Our own Anthony Gray, who is also an educational assistant and chair of the project, worked along side Miss Daryn Duplessis, a teacher at Nelson Rural School, and Mr. Bob Gillis, District Experiential Learning Co-ordinator. The Miramichi Kinsmen gave the students $2000 and challenged them to do acts of “KIN”dness in our community. The students identified and researched different business and not-for-profits in our community and then gave gifts or treats to recognize and thank them. They brought a little ray of sunshine to places like Shannex Losier Hall, Miramichi Multicultural Association, Miramichi Emergency Centre for Women, Miramichi Fire Department, Miramichi City Police, Rewind 95.9, Fero and Miramichi SPCA to name a few. The students really did a fantastic job!

Kin Kindness Day is a way for members and clubs to make people smile and thank their community for their ongoing support. The day is also a way to celebrate and honour Kin Canada’s 103-year history of Serving the Community’s Greatest Need.
