The Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi has four awards that may be given out at the end of each year. Rookie of the
Year, Kinitiative Award, The Louis Gallant Memorial Award and The Ken MacDonald Memorial Kinsmen of the Year.
Kin Louis Gallant Memorial Award
Awarded to the Kinsmen, who like Kin Louis Gallant, best exemplifies the qualities of unselfish service to
the community. Below are pictures of the tribute case and plaque in our club room remembering the contribution
Louis made to the club and community.
The Ken MacDonald Memorial Kinsmen of the Year
Awarded to Kinsmen who best exemplifies the aims of the association. In particular the following
is to be considered when awarding this award in the manner in which Ken participated in all aspects of the club and the Association.
Attendance; Chairmanship; Fellowship; Service Participation; Membership Initiative; Community Image.

Kiniative Award
Awarded to a Kinsmen who, having been a member of the club
for at least two (2) years prior, displays or shows a resurgence of commitment to the club. This member may not receive the
Kinsmen of the Year in the same Kin year.
Rookie of the Year
Awarded to a new Kinsmen, who joined prior to January 31st of each Kin year, who best exemplifies the fellowship
and service aspects of the association.
