Quad Winner!!!
At District Convention in Fredericton, Pat King of the Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi took home four District
Awards. Pat took home two individual awards and accepted two club awards as the club bulletin editor and webmaster.
Pat won the Joe Savoie Memorial Kin Quill award for the third time in his Kin Career and took home the Ken
MacDonald Memorial District Convention Fellowship award. As bulletin editor and webmaster, Pat accepted the George Gamburg
Senior Bulletin Award and the Kin Canada Atlantic--District 7 Website Award.
Pat and the Miramichi Kinsmen are now entered in the National awards for the Quill, website and bulletin.

Governors/Vice Governor Elected at District Convention:
At District Convention in Fredericton, NB (hosted by the Nashwaaksis Kin Family) the members of Kin Canada
Atlantic--District 7, voted to have Korren Penney and L.M. Brian Cooper represent the members as District Governors for 2008-09
Kin year. Also elected at convention was our 1st single leader, Mitch Freeman was elected to the position of Vice Governor.

Kin Canada Atlantic announces Candidates for District Governor
Kin Canada Atlantic Governors Norm Dicks and Gail Brittain are pleased to annouce that at District Convention 2008 in
Fredericton, NB there are candidates running for the offices of District Governors and District Vice Governor.
Koreen Penney of St. John's, NL and Brian Cooper of Bridgewater, NS will be seeking the support of the members from Kin
Canada Atlantic to be last duo to lead the District. Also announced, that Mitch Freeman of Charlottetown, PE is seeking
to become the 1st single leader in the District as District Vice Governor.
All candidates are excited about taking on leadership roles and being part of history in the best District in Kin Canada!

Corner Brook seeks to host District Convention 2009
In March, the Corner Brook Kinsmen announced it's intention to seek the bid to host District Convention 2009. After
just falling short to host the 2008 convention and seeing that many in the District were excited about having convention on
the West Coast of Newfoundland...the members decided to go for it!
This along with the newly formed Kinette Club of Corner Brook, allows the new members of the Kin Family to get off the
ground running and see how great and supportive the members of Kin Canada Atlantic truly are!
