Nashwaaksis Kinsmen and Kinettes to merge
On Saturday June 28th, a ceremony to mark the formation of the Kin Club of Nashwaaksis will take place at the Kinsmen
Community Centre in Fredericton.
The Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Nashwaaksis has been facing a lot of challenges in the last few years, including a declining
membership in both clubs. Incoming President L.M. Arden Doak says that given our clubs great history and strong leadership
over the years, as well as how close the clubs are, to merge and form one stronger Kin Club was the natural fit.
Governor-Elect Brian Cooper is expected to be in attendance to welcome and congratulate the newly formed Kin Club, the
4th in the Zone.

New Deputy Governor Appointed
On May 19th Vice Governors Brian Cooper and Koreen Penney were pleased to announce that Leigh Dingley from the Kinsmen
Club of Nashwaaksis has been appointed Deputy Governor for the new Zone A.
After no Deputy Governor ran at Spring Zone, there was a fear that no representation from the new Zone would be present
on the District Council. However after an extensive search, Leigh agreed to fill the role. He is excited about
leading the new Zone and is looking forward to meeting with all the club Presidents and meeting the challenges head-on.
