The Canadian Red Cross Healthcare Equipment Loan Program has been housed in the Beaverbrook Kin Centre since November 1997. The Kinsmen Club under the supervision of the Building Manager and a summer student provides this service to the community. Crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, commodes, canes, raised toilet seats, hospital beds, overbed tables are just some of the items available to aid convalescent patients and others with temporary illness or injury.

This service is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 12:00 and then 1:00 to 4:30 in the afternoon. Anyone requesting a walker or cane must provide a prescription to indicate the length of time required and type. Pick-up and return of equipment are the responsibility of the patient and prompt return of items enables others to benefit from the service.

There is no charge for the HealthCare Equipment Loan however if anyone wishes to make a donation a tax deductible receipt is provided.
