On Sunday December 16th, The Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi and The Newcastle Lions once again partnered to provide a Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings free of charge for local Seniors.

 

This is the 16th year for the event and it is held at the Lions Centre.  The meal is prepared by the Lions and the Kinsmen organize the event, purchase the food, provide entertainment and serve the food with the help of the Kinettes, spouses and children.

 

The meal is served at 2 seatings at 1 pm and 3 pm and this year over 500 seniors enjoyed the meal over the 2 seatings.  Seniors can bring a donation for the food bank and the Kinsmen will collect the food and take it to the local food bank for distribution.  This yeat $1600.00 worth of food was collected for the food bank.
